Auditions

Our chamber ensemble, Concentus, is a 24-30 member group drawn by audition from the general choir. Qualifying members are chosen based on vocal and musical skills as well as on the particular sound that the current season’s repertoire calls for, with particular attention given to the way voices blend into a cohesive sectional tone. A separate Concentus rehearsal schedule is presented early in the season and other small ensemble opportunities also are often planned into some of the main concerts. If you are interested in auditioning for Concentus or would like to be considered for ensemble work (in addition to your membership in the main choir) be sure to mention it to our Musical Director at your primary audition.
