A Double Birthday Celebration! 1997 marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of Franz Peter Schubert and his Italian colleague Gaetano Donizetti. Participate in the festivities at these two unique performances of Schubert’s lyrical Mass in G coupled with Bach’s own intriguing Mass in G, and Donizetti’s charming and youthful Allegro for Strings coupled with Bach’s birthyear partner, Handel, and his sparkling Concerto Grosso in F for Oboes, Strings & Basso Continuo.
