J. S. Bach: Cantatas 4 and 106

Our splendid chamber ensemble opens the season with Cantata No. 106, Gottes Zeit ist die allerbeste Zeit, a joyous work unusually scored for gambas and recorders. We also present the robust yet moving Cantata No. 4, Christ lag in Todesbanden and a small choral jewel from the middle-baroque period by Andreas Hammerschmidt.
