Our diamond season opens with a sparkling array of choruses by Georg Frideric Handel, including more of the magnificent Chandos Anthems introduced last year, movements from Ode for St. Cecilia’s Day—Handel’s commemoration of music’s patron saint—plus sensational choruses from Acis and Galatea, Rinaldo and other works. Director Corey Jamason will perform Handel’s Organ Concerto in F Major, popularly known as the The Cuckoo and the Nightingale, to complete this sunny program.
