Johann Hermann Schein (1586–1630)
| Original Text | English Translation |
Now praise the Lord, o my soul; all that is in me praise his name. His benefits he does for many; forget them not, oh my heart. He has forgiven you your sin and has healed your great weakness. He preserves your poor life, and takes you into his arms, He showers you richly with comforts, And rejuvenates you like an eagle. The king establishes Justice. He shelters those who suffer in his kingdom. |
