Mark DeSaulnier brings more than twenty years of senior administrative experience to the performing arts and culture. He has been responsible for contract negotiations, community engagement, marketing, fundraising, board development and strategic planning, as well as leading production efforts in venues ranging from 500 to 15,000 seats. Mr. DeSaulnier has worked with artists and venues, including Kenny Loggins, James Newton Howard, Davies Concert Hall and The San Francisco Symphony, Vanessa Williams, The San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus, Air Supply, Barry Manilow, Outside Lands, Paramount Theater, Bobby McFerrin and more. His previous senior leadership experiences include Luther Burbank Center for the Arts, Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir, Peninsula Youth Theater, and the Pacific Symphony in Orange County.

Before joining the S.F. Bach Choir, Mr. DeSaulnier brought executive leadership to the Sebastopol Community Cultural Center. During his tenure with the Center, he rebuilt the staffing team coming off COVID-era shuttering while also rebuilding programs, classes, and camps offered to the community. Mr. DeSaulnier also launched a culturally relevant and regionally supported music and events series throughout the year featuring Bobby McFerrin, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Dr. Melba Beals, Keith Terry and Crosspulse, SF Gay Men’s Chorus, Latinx History Celebration, and more.

Along with his love for the arts, Mr. DeSaulnier is also passionate about leadership, personal growth, and transformation. His personal studies and practices around organizational leadership, Jungian Depth Psychology, and spiritual development are at the core of his purpose and contributions to the world.
